Accuracy matters on health topics. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so here.
How to report an error
We’re still setting up a dedicated inbox (or contact form) for corrections, and we’ll list it here as soon as it works. Once we start sending emails to our list, subscribers will be able to reply to any of them to report an error.
When you report something, include the address of the page, what you believe is wrong and, if you can, a link to a reliable source. You don’t need to be an expert; we look into every report.
Our corrections policy
- We check every report against the original sources and, for medical questions, with a clinician where one is available to us.
- Safety first. If an error could affect someone’s safety — such as a wrong concentration, a missed warning or out-of-date recall information — we fix it as a priority.
- We correct openly. Significant factual corrections are noted on the page itself and logged below with the date and what changed. We don’t quietly rewrite mistakes.
- Small fixes — typos, broken links, formatting or clarifications that don’t change the meaning — are made without a log entry.
- Data tools such as the benzoyl peroxide benzene tracker show a “last checked” date for each entry and are audited at least quarterly.
